Answers About Your Turkey Trip with a Bonus!

             

 

               Hi everyone! How is your life? I hope everything is alright. Greetings to all from western of Turkey, Çanakkale city. We are continue to talking about Turkey and their travel. You can snack something while reading this article, it will be good for you. Let’s start to talk about topic.

I’ll mention that to be ‘relax person’ in Turkey like Turkish people.

 What do we in Turkey, how we live, what is the rules, what do we attention to and more. Interesting for you? Yeah, i tought so too J Because these are really important subjects before coming to Turkey and will be a guide for your travel. Are your snacks ready? Here we go!

Firstly, we are hospitality as very well! Never thing about asking, just ask if you need a help. Help about city, restaurants, bars, travel or etc. For example; maybe your hanging out like hippie style and your Money budget is not wide. You need to little restaurants and cheap dishes. You don’t need to shy, we are understanding toooo much. So, just ask someone. But i suggest you about a translation app. Because it is really big problem to come across a who speaks english. J Or you need to buy a lottery ticket if you come across! Because you’re really lucky.

Secondly, we are so funny and like to talk! Never shy to do little jokes for us. Especially while to buying something! Little jokes make us happy. And also maybe you can do little bargain while you make joke! It will be to your adventage for buy little cheap your product. J Use it this! Also never shy to talk about something with us. You can talk about life, Turkey, economy, prices, funny things,  about your country, culture, music or whatever you want. I hope you meet someone who can speaks english J Because you need to this for do all as well. J

Thirdly, you need to attention for bath/restrooms. Because toilets in Turkey always separate as men, women and disabled wherever you go! Sometimes there is english and with pics but sometimes only Turkish and without pics. In this situation you need to know Turkish words. That’s why i’m writing exactly words; BAY is for men, BAYAN/KADIN for women. Disabled toilets are already with symbol. Now you recognize bath/restrooms in Turkey. J Have a good rest.

The fourth, attention about smoking! If you are smoking like me, you’re not alone, you’ll see! A looooot of Turks are smoking. Just you need to know some rules in Turkey. Primarily, you cannot smoke as ‘legally’ in bus stops, inside all of restaurants, bars, bistros and like these places, taxis, ferries, buses, indoor museums and private for cannot smoke places. You can understand that you cannot smoke from the –no smoking- logo in private places. Also you cannot smoke too in your private car because of consist new rule 3 years ago. So, you cannot smoke if came to Turkey with your private car or rent a car in Turkey! Except those you can smoke in every streets, open air, gardens or outside of the restaurants and like these places. If you are in the hotel or rented house, you need to ask reception or owner before smoke inside. It’s really important because you can pay well big Money and none of us never wanna this, right? J But some hotel reservation sites ask your opinion about smoking. You can choose what’s your prefer.

Fifthly, i recommend you prepare yourself about sad songs for Turkey. For example, maybe you can listening all of happy and energic songs before come Turkey. J Because you’ll really full of sad songs in there. We called ‘arabesk’ their sad songs. If you can see especially in the little kebap restaurants, private bath/restroom places in bus terminals, local drinking tea/coffee shops, artisan shops and Street sellers and more, please do not suprised! Because it’s so normal, try to enjoy! J If you wanna ask me why, believe me i don’t know! Maybe Turks are like these songs or culture or habit or and or. J

As the sixth, i suggest you exchange your Money to Turkish money first and then, always carry little Turkish Money(Lira) and coins. Because Turkish people don’t want to change big Money. For example, you have 100 Lira and you wanna buy a gum or products value maximum 10 Lira. I don’t recommend to do this. And also probably you won’t be able to exchange your money and buy your product. J Because they won’t to do that. In this reason, always you can keep it with you 10, 20, 50 Liras. Another Money problem about your credit or debit cards. Some shops or places doesn’t let you use your cards under 10 lira. And some shops also want to take little commission(between 0,50 to 3 liras) if you wanna buy cigarette. That’s why, you can specify to this if you wanna use card!

Some Cities of Turkey, you can’t use Money in the inner city buses! For example my city, Çanakkale. The inner buses system of my city work only city buses or taxis. If you want to use city buses, you need to private city bus card. But don’t worry, it’s so easy! You can buy that card some private shops. There is information about that card, it will be enough for understanding to see. These cards are 2 types; for disponsable use or continous use. You can choose whichever you want and you can enjoy to view of the city! J
