What Can You Eat and Drink in West Regions of Turkey?
Hey, guys! How do you feel? I feel great if you ask me. J I’m gonna answer your questions about what can you eat and drink in Turkey in this blog. I mean, this blog will be about foods and drinks! Are you hungry? C’mon, aproach here and follow me!
Actually
guys, it’s possible to find every place’s favorite foods in everywhere all
around to Turkey. What that’s mean, for example; you can find in West regions kebaps from east or chicken döner from west, you can find
in east regions. It was clearly for you? I hope that so. Let’s open to this
subject more now!
Turkey
is really rich about foods and drinks firstly! In every region has famous foods
and drinks. Sometimes only neighbor cities has different food cultures, you
know? It’s weird, right? Yeah, i’m from West and our food cultures about more
olive oiled-dishes, vegetable foods and herbs. My grandma found some plants on
the side of streets and road and she was cooked. Believe me, it was so tasty!
And also we have really good for fishes and sea products. We’re really cooking
tasty seasonal fishes, squids, shrimps, crabs, clams and more.
I wanna say that to while we talking about West, we love to drink alcohol too much. Especially who living in Thrace region! What are these cities; Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ and my hometown Çanakkale. As offical; Europe sides of İstanbul and Çanakkale. In every weddings and circumcisions, owner of the entertainmet give to guests a lot of rakı (Turkish traditional alcohol drink), wines, whiskeys and beers near to the dishes. So everyone be so satisfied. J I mean, if you want to visit in our Thrace, definetely join a like these entertainmet and please drink responsibily! J

dear friends, let’s collect to our subject. If you want to visit West and
coastal cities, you can eat to home-made olive oiled-dishes, fishes and sea
products. You can eat beef, including meatballs, goat and little goat meat and
lambs too but we’re westerns, do not prefer lamb meat too much. Chiken döner is always good idea for us
also. You can find a lot of places of this sandvich. So, final desicion is
always yours! J
Well, drinks now! I already talked about alcohol drinks but we have famous non-alcohol drinks too. You can find in the streets fresh orange-pomegranate juices and these are always tasty. Sellers are always squize oranges and pomegranates for you in this duration. Your another option is ayran. If you think about it’s a sweet drink, you are wrong! It’s a salty drink guys. Looks a milk but it’s not. If you wanna make an ayran, you need to yogurt, drinkable water and salt. Mixing everything and make an ayran. You can drink it while you eat chiken-meat döner, kind of kebaps, sandwiches and like these dishes. So don’t surprised if you see people drink this while eat hamburger because it’s not a milk! J
Also
you can prefer coke,soda, fizzy orange drink, ice-tea and like these products
from famous companies in Turkey. If you say ‘no bro, i wanna drink only what i know! ‘ you can prefer these
drinks. J
**BONUS**
Dear friends, we have many of foods we can eat after alcohol drinks. If you feel tipsy or drunk or for enjoy after your alcohol, you can eat 2 types of dishes! No joke, these are kokoreç and soups. We’re starting to talk about kokoreç first. It’s an intestinal food! Making of lamb intestine. But you need to care toooo much to this intestines. Need to wash until it clean as very well and Wrap it properly. It’s cooking on the charcoal fire with vegetables or without vegetables and some of spices. It’s really tasty food, you can try i think! J
Another
foods are soups guys! There is many of offal soups but i’m gonna talk about
only two important and prefered. First is kelle-paça.
It’s mean head-trotter and making of
this foods. Making this soup, you need to boiled minimum 3-5 hours! And then
filter meat and water and after mix and serve with garlic-vinegar souce. Mmmm…
I need to drink now! J You can definetely try it!
Second
soup is işkembe. It’s mean tripe. Making start first, you need to
wash tripe as very well too and boiled 2-3 hours minimum. And then filter tripe
and water and after mix again and serve with garlic-vinegar souce too. I’ll be
honest with you, i couldn’t like this soup! I tryed a loooot of times but i
couldn’t like. Many of Turkish people love this, that’s why you need to try
this soup also! J
Alright
